Giovanni started playing the piano at 6 years old. Under the guidance of Danilo Manto, he participated at several piano competitions in Italy, where he finished in the top positions, and was awarded the ABRSM diploma. In 2018 he moved to London to study at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After achieving a Bachelor in Music with Honours, he moved to Point Blank Music School to get a Bachelor in Music Production and Sound Engineering. He loves playing late Romantic, Impressionistic and Jazz music.
Passionate and expert movie connoisseur, he composes orchestral and electronic music. Some of his influences include Ennio Morricone, Thomas Newmann, Bernard Herrmann, Philip Glass, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Francois Poulenc, Antonin Dvorak, Michael Giacchino, John Powell, Vangelis, Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, Sade, Quincy Jones, Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang, Gabriela Bee, Avicii, Fred Again, BT, Olafur Arnald. He enjoys blending different music genres, possibly while looking at non-European musical cultures.
